Duke Wins Title

Duke overcomes Butler to win the NCAA Title. Many thought Butler would struggle facing the Blue Devils due to the size and shooting of their starting five. Butler overcame Michigan state by one point and had a horrible shooting percentage with 15 for 49. After that game Duke had a clear shot of the title.

Michigan State makes a statement.

Without their leading scorer and point guard Kalin Lucas,the spartans have been succeeding very well without him.Many players such as Cory Lucious have stepped up to the plate and have undertaken the roll and job that needs to be done to defeat the remaining teams and has succeeded with a game winning three point shot.With a win over Tennesse the Spartans have made the final four teams that will be playing in Indy.

#23 ranked Maryland upsets #4 Duke.

It just wasnt enough to stop Greivis Vasquez.Greivis Vasquez scored 20 points including a clutch shot with 37 seconds left to win over #4 Duke with a final score of 72-79.Jordan Williams had 15 points and 11 rebounds to help the Terrapins overcome Duke.Nolan Smith scored 20 for Duke including Jon Sheyer with 19 points.Duke center Brian Zoubek only finished with four points and 13 rebounds and Duke needed the help from their big center to move past the Terrapins but couldnt come up for the Blue Devils.Maryland won six straight games and had their first win over Duke since 2007.

Kansas stops Kansas State.

Kansas shakes off KU to win sixth staright Big 12 Title.Collins had a rough night with shooting at home against #5 KU last night but included 17 points for #2 Kansas.Xavier Henry scored hi9s 15 of 19 points in the first half alone.Jacob Pullen and Denis Clemente helped KU to keep the score close but couldnt hold on at the end.Clemente had 21 points and Pullen had 20 including 15 in the first half.Kansas State struggled with shooting and only had four assists the entire night.What cost the Wildcats was their lack of ball movement and shooting percentage.Jacon Pullen simply said "they outworked us".Overall it just wasnt enough to beat top ranked #2 Kansas.

Tennessee wins over #2 Kentucky.

Kentucky lost to Tennessee with a final score of 65-74. Tennessee ended their three game loosing streak to the Wildcats.Kentucky couldnt help but watch as Tennessee took a 19 point lead back and win by 9.Prince scored six of his 20 points with 90 seconds left,with a 3 pointer by Scotty Hopson.John Wall and Demarcus Cousins just wasnt enough to lead their team with a victory over Tennessee.Wall had 19 points and Demarcus had 15 points and 14 rebounds for the Wildcats.

Kansas is upset by Oklahoma State.

Cowboys defeat Jayhawks.James Anderson provided Oklahoma State with 27 points and page was perfect on three point attempts,also Matt Pilgrim had 18 points and made all eight shots.Sherron Collins had 22 points to lead Kansas and Xavier Henry added 17 points and Cole Aldrich had 11 points and it just wasnt enough to knock out Oklahoma State.The Jayhawks had very little help on the boards which why the jayhawks lost.

Kansas fell to No.2 and Kentucky fell to No.3 after both top ranked teams had a devastating loss last week.The orange beat providence and then won over No.8 Villanova at home.Kansas and Kentucky both dropped decisions on the road at Oklahoma State and Tennessee.

Uconn wins over WVU 73-62.Kemba Walker scored 21 points including three free throws after Huggins technicals.Jerome Dyson added 17 points and Stanley Robinson had 15 points and 13 rebounds for Uconn.Huggins was ejected in the final minutes of the game.

Will North Carolina St. knock off Wake Forest?

Wake Forest falls to North Carolina St. Wake Forest moved into the top 25 and will be headed right back out after a loss at North Carolina St. Farnold Degand hit two three-pointers in a run in the second half to help the Wolfpack beat Wake Forest. Tracy Smith had 14 points to lead the Wolfpack. The last six minutes the Wolfpack gained a firm control over Wake Forest to end the game.

Can Vanderbilt upset 2 Kentucky?

Kentucky escapes Vanderbilt 58-56. In the final 20 seconds in the 4th quarter John Wall knock down 1 of two free throws and a clutch shot to win over Vanderbilt. Eric Bledsoe missed two free throws but Wall bailed him out. Kentucky was limited to a 35.8 shooting percentage an all time worst by the #2 Wildcats.Shots werent falling the entire game for the Cats and someone needed to step up late in the 4th quarter and it wasnt suprising to be John Wall.

John Wall is the #1 ranked player in college basketball.He has extreme ability to carry a team,his attributes with quickness and strength has yet to be stopped.The shocking thing is hes not even to hios full potential as only a freshmen in college basketball.John Wall can be looked at as just a scorer but has the ability to set up teammates,get steals,and rebounds.This top point guard is the real deal and has much more expierence to come.
